Facilitating Collaboration

Facilitating Collaboration

Form is a paid 6-week screenwriting project within Facilitating Collaboration, a PhD research study by Madeleine Manglaras that aims to amplify historically decentred voices in Australian storytelling.

The research study explores collaborative filmmaking as an alternative to the hierarchical structures in western filmmaking practice that empower some groups and disempower others.

It also seeks to understand how narrative films that convey our lived experience through fictional characters allow us to share our truths with the authenticity of documentary film and the safeguard of fictionalisation.

Form is a 20-hour commitment seeking participants with an interest in writing, collaboration, and an im/migrant background.
